J.C. Hart Leadership Changes
After 45 years at the helm, John Hart has decided to step down from his daily responsibilities of running J.C. Hart and has handed off the reins to Sr. Vice President and 20-year member of the Executive Team, Charlie Kurtz, and Vice President and 18-year member of the Executive Team, Mark Juleen. Charlie has been named the CEO and Mark is now COO. All other members of the Executive Team have been elevated to Sr. Vice President: Todd May (Development); Rex King (Construction); Michael Hart (still CFO – Finance & Accounting); Karli Kohler (Human Resources). John Hart’s new title is Chairman of the Board, and he will continue to pursue his passion for working on new developments in the J.C. Hart pipeline. Senior VP and COO, Dr. Pamela Carrington Rotto, is leaving J.C. Hart Company to pursue her business consulting and coaching for other mid-market companies that are ready to scale up, as J.C. Hart has done since 2015. "This remarkable journey with John and the J.C. Hart team is something every company needs to experience," said Dr. Carrington Rotto. "Growing as rapidly as we did toward our Big Hairy Audacious Goal, while creating an award-winning culture and coaching key leaders to reach their potential and exceed company expectations, has been the highlight of my professional life." According to John Hart, “Pamela’s strategic and operational leadership transformed us into a highly effective executive team, and her legacy at J.C. Hart will be felt for years to come. For this, I am most grateful.”
Charlie and Mark are both excited to take on their new roles and to help lead the vision and strategy for the Company going forward. John Hart states, “I have had the pleasure of working with the executive leadership team of J.C. Hart, in some cases for up to 20 years, and I am highly confident they will continue to lead the company to our vision for growth while making it a key priority of nurturing and promoting a culture built around our Core Values, as we have done over the past 45 years.”
