J.C. Hart Volunteer Days
Out of John Hart’s annual pledge to United Way as a Tocqueville Society member, as well as his commitment to support various educational organizations such as St. Mary’s Early Childhood Center where he has been a “godparent” for 34 years, J.C. Hart Company’s philanthropic endeavors have grown to include encouraging our Associates to volunteer, whether at a United Way supported agency, or any charitable organization that they are passionate about. “We have made an investment in our Associates to give them paid time off to give back to the community. We are committed to being a company that gives back in charitable ways,” Hart said.
For the past several years, J.C. Hart volunteers have spent time at St. Mary’s, Children’s TherAplay, Julian Center, Indiana Diaper Bank, Humane Society for Hamilton County, Million Meal Movement, and Second Helpings, just to name a few, supplying manpower and elbow grease for various projects to help these organizations stretch their operating budgets a little farther. One Associate recently requested his volunteer PTO time to work at Hope Center Indy, a nonprofit focusing on care for women overcoming sex trafficking and addictions. Along with “giving back to their communities,” we have found that volunteering for these various nonprofits provides our Associates with a great sense fulfillment. They find it rewarding and are very appreciative that through the volunteer paid-time-off benefit, J.C. Hart encourages their Associates to give back to their communities and volunteer.
